Interview with a Home Inspector

When I started blogging for real estate I thought what better perspective to get than one from a home inspector, after all they are going to advise the buyers of any and all potential problems, a very critical piece in the home buying process.  I reached out to Carl Satina, President of Mr. Inspections who my clients use often to see what the overall inspection covers.  By the way, in all my years of doing real estate, Mr. Inspections is the only one I’ve seen to utilize infrared technology, he can see what is going on behind the walls without even taking them apart (and there is no extra charge for it)!

The advantage of having an experienced unbiased home inspector perform a preventative maintenance, pre-sale, or pre-purchase inspection affords you the peace of mind in knowing what the expenses of the house will be in the near term and the long term so you can plan accordingly. This will help you decide whether to repair the home prior to sale or purchase, or help you prioritize which contractors to hire first to help you maintain the home.”
